The big question now, of course, is how the MCU will deal with a Spider-Man who no longer has a secret identity, and a Peter Parker whose name and face are known to the world. When Spider-Man revealed his secret identity in the comics things didn't end well, with Aunt May being lethally shot because of her relationship to Peter, and Peter sacrificing his marriage to MJ in order to save her. Needless to say, this scene has major implications for Phase 4 of the MCU. In the second post-credits scene, we see what look to be SHIELD Agents Nick Fury and Maria Hill. But the two characters transform from themselves into Skrulls, the shape-shifting alien species from Captain Marvel. It turns out that Nick Fury has enlisted Talos, the ostensible villain but actual good guy from Captain Marvel, to impersonate him on earth.
Mysterio then says that Spider-Man plans to kill anyone who tries to take Iron Man’s place — that Spider-Man believes he is the only rightful heir to Tony Stark. The image cuts out, and we see Spider-Man’s feet behind Mysterio. In reality, the computer program stored inside Tony’s glasses, EDITH, had asked Spider-Man if he would like to “execute” the orders to cancel all the drones. But the video has been edited to make it sound like Spider-Man says just, “execute them all.” Fake gunfire plays, and it is implied that Spider-Man has killed innocent people. The Thor and Doctor Strange crossover in the post-credits of the 2016 movie delighted both fandoms. As Strange settles into his role of master of the Sanctum Sanctorum, he's visited by Thor Odinson, who's dragged Loki to earth and enlists the Doctor's help in tracking down their father.
Far From Home's Mid-Credits Scene Brings Back J. Jonah Jameson
Not only does Parker have to juggle a new relationship with his superhero responsibilities, but now he's probably going to be on the run, at least for a little now that his secret identity is out there. A familiar "Spider-Man" actor returns in the first scene.The second scene reveals a giant illusion that took place the entirety of the film. Following a montage of Chadwick Boseman's best moments as Black Panther, the audience gets a shocker with the mid-credits scene, where Nakia brings a little boy to Shuri and introduces him. Stretching out, the real Fury rises and his true location is revealed – a cavernous Skrull spaceship, attended by many of the green aliens, where he’s just been enjoying a holographic vacation.
J. Jonah Jameson (played by J K Simmons, who also played The Daily Bugle Editor-In-Chief in all three Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movies!!!) then flashes up on the screen, claiming Mysterio as the greatest superhero of all time. Spider-Man's true identity is then revealed in the video from Mysterio and Peter - and MJ - look on in horror. Peter and MJ eventually discover Mysterio’s plot, and Peter defeats the villain before sharing his first kiss with MJ.
Far from Home, far from other heroes
Captain Marvel established an age-old conflict between these two alien empires, which the Kree won, and made the Skrulls into refugees looking for a homeworld. Now, a quarter century later, both civilizations are on different footing that we're not fully aware of yet, but Talos' mention of that — while in disguise as Fury — suggests that they could still be enemies. That adds an important context to this reveal, one that future films will no doubt build on. Now, in addition to whatever supervillain he battles next, Peter Parker will have Jonah staring him down, trying to ruin his day and his life at every turn, and that adds a whole new level of conflict for future films. Then, because Peter Parker cannot have nice things, the bad luck follows him home and into the mid-credits scene, when his date with MJ is interrupted by a new bulletin that introduces none other than J.
He doesn't have to make a deal with the literal devil but priority number one for our dear old Spider-Man come phase 4 is going to be putting that genie back into the bottle. Tom Holland's Peter Parker is surrounded by a relatively new supporting cast--he doesn't have a Gwen Stacy, and his Mary Jane isn't actually Mary Jane at all--but some side characters are just too big to change to omit entirely. Take J. Jonah Jameson, for instance--the head honcho of the Daily Bugle, who has been a featured part of Spider-Man films of days gone by, finally gets his MCU debut here in the mid-credits scene of Far From Home. If you couldn't already tell--there are a lot of spoilers to follow, so please tread carefully. The epic villain from Thunderbolts might get his own MCU series
This might not as Endgame-level as some thought, but if you’re of a certain age, it’s very, very cool. And, now is the perfect time to rewatch all the “old” Spider-Man movies with your kids. It’s not clear what Marvel’s next big universe-threatening threat is going to be as we move into the post-Thanos era. One common thought is Galactus, given that Disney now has the rights back to Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer, Doctor Doom and the big cosmic baddie, that will no doubt be integrated into the MCU in time. This is literally the first movie in this new age, and Rome wasn’t built in a day.
Jameson has aged accordingly since the last time we've seen him on screen; however, his appearance leaves a big question up in the air. Is this the same version of Jameson who we saw in the Tobey Maguire era of "Spider-Man" movies? Peter's about to head off when a breaking news report comes on a screen on the side of Madison Square Garden. The newsman says he has "disturbing revelations" about last week's attack in London. Last we saw Talos and the Skrulls, Captain Marvel was headed into space to find them a new home away from persecution in the 1990s.
Second post-credits scene: Nick Fury is a Skrull?
Bucky will be busy running around with Sam Wilson on their Disney+ mini-series. It turns out that Fury has actually been off-world this whole time with a full-on Skrull army based out of a space station, and he sent Talos to fill in for him while he caught up on a bit of a vacation. Hopefully, we'll only have to wait for San Diego Comic-Con in a few short weeks to potentially hear more about the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe films.

The video then cuts to footage of Spider-Man speaking with his Stark technology glasses, E.D.I.T.H. The scene picks up right where the movie ended with MJ and Peter Parker across the street from Madison Square Garden in New York City after the two flew through the city skies. 1d ago - After a period of upheaval, Ubisoft's editorial division is on a mission to ensure its upcoming games are well-made, relevant, and diverse.
It's possible that Fury is on some kind of Earth-related business and simply called in a favor to Talos to get some cosmic resources. It's also possible that he was asked by Captain Marvel to aid in a Skrull endeavor, tough that seems less likely given that Talos is on Earth. We simply don't know enough to make a detailed guess, and we also don't know which upcoming MCU films will shed light on this new adventure.
By the end of the movie, Peter and MJ are officially an item. And for their first date, Peter decides to take MJ swinging through New York. In the first post-credits scene, they land in the middle of Times Square and are about to leave when a breaking news alert plays on a massive screen. A news anchor announces that an anonymous source has leaked a video showing Mysterio’s final moments.
